What’s Included

Expert, local guides will lead you through a variety of tropical habitats as you search for more than 650 different species of birds found in the Turrialba area.

    • Accommodation food and transportation included

    • Your bike will be properly tuned with new tires, brake pads, etc., before your trip.

    • You will have specialized guides the will help you at all times.

    • You will be in great condition with all the training you are doing to get in shape for your trip!

    • You can go light because you will have a support vehicle with you at all times.

    • Your bike will be checked every day after each stage

    Day 1st (Saturday)

    Arrival to CR Airport -Juan Santamaria- Pick up and transportation by Hotel La Riviera Belen

    Accommodation and transportation included.

    Day 2nd (Sunday)

    Biking 22km: Quepos –Santa Juana (Hotel Santa Juana Lodge)

    A specialist tour guide will pick you up at 7:00 am to drive you to the Central Pacific, Quepos, after lunch on the ocean view and getting the bikes ready, will start the adventure to Santa Juana Lodge.

    Day 3rd (Monday)

    Biking 30km Santa Juana- San Marcos de Tarrazú (Hotel Palenque)

    This is a very demanding stage with beautiful views to arrive at one of the places where the best coffee in Costa Rica is produced.

    Day 4th (Tuesday)

    BIKING 50KM San Marcos- Orosi (Orosi Valley Lodge)

    A charming stage where we leave the coffee growing area of San Marcos to go towards the Atlantic side of Costa Rica.

    Day 5th (Wednesday)

    Biking 50km Orosi- Pavones (Glamping Aventuras el Ceibo)

    In this stage we pass near the Tapanti National Park and then arrive at the Turrialba sugar cane and coffee plantation field.

    Day 6th (Thursday)

    Biking 68kms: Pavones- Parismina (Green Gold Ecolodge)

    This day we will go to the Caribbean Sea where we will pass through large banana plantations in Costa Rica to complete this challenge.

    Day 7th (Friday)
    Relaxing day at a Caribbean beach in the Green Gold Ecolodge

    A full day in a wonderful place where we can enjoy the beach, hiking on the trails or boat trips through the canals to observe wildlife.

    Day 8th (Saturday)
    Transfer to San José Hotel La Rivera

    After breakfast we will take a boat to leave the Ecolodge and then continue traveling to San José where we finish our adventure.

    • Quick dry T’s or other short-sleeved shirts

    • Shorts for lounge time

    • Lightweight jacket or hoodie for cool mornings

    • Socks – I bring over the ankle for bugs, and, shorties for walking in town

    • Underwear

    • Ballcap or visor

    • Sun hat
